DESCRIPTION: The sturgeon pebble mosaic and flagstone installation is embedded in the landscape, surrounded and protected by granite boulders. The installation mimics a natural water inlet with a sturgeon swimming beneath the surface of the land and emerging from the landscape. Historically, the sturgeon spawned in the Don River and were a staple food source for the Indigenous people who participated in annual gatherings where they fished, traded and renewed family ties.

MATERIALS: multi coloured limestone and sandstone pebbles, granite sculpted fins and Wiarton limestone.
