DESCRIPTION: The four stone sturgeons are positioned on the pebble shorelines in pairs. These sculptures depict an animal often overlooked—but was once valued for it's importance and contribution to the cycle of life by Indigenous peoples. In the spring, the statue will harbour new plant growth, and in the winter, tufts of snow. The sturgeon holds deep spiritual and cultural significance as the grandfather of the fish clans.
