13 Moons and Turtle Shell

DESCRIPTION: Relief carvings on thirteen 2 ton boulders, Animal representations of seasons and what is reflective in the natural environment. Outer scutes on turtle shell are represented by benches, moon phases and use of local Ash trees that are slowly being decimated by the Emerald Ash Bore.

DIMENSIONS: 20 ft. length x 12 ft. width

MATERIALS: Boulders of Credit Valley grey sandstone, concrete bench bases, mosaic inlays and ash bench tops.

LOCATION: Zibi Development Project, Ottawa
